Well, we have wrapped up the 2018-2019 school year! Thank you all for your tremendous support of our school. We had a great year and we are looking forward to August when we can welcome your children back. The next Principal’s Memo will be Friday, August 23rd. Call or text at (207) 351-0099 if you need me! Please set your calendars for the upcoming important dates in August regarding fall sports and the start of school at the end of the memo.
End of Year Grades
Fourth quarter and final grades will be emailed by next Friday, 6/21.
The 2019 Summer Academy will be held at Old Orchard Beach High School next Monday, June 17th – Friday, June 28th from 8:30-10:30. Student referral letters and registration information will be sent home early next week. There is no cost for the program and credit recovery work will either be coursework through the Educere online learning platform or specific assignments developed and submitted by the student’s teacher. Credit recovery plans are personalized for each student and students are expected to participate in summer academy and meet all the requirements outlined in their credit recovery plan.

We will be holding our next meeting June 10th at 6:00pm at the High School! We invite you to join us to learn more!
We currently support not only athletics, but a variety of clubs and activities. We are entirely volunteer supported and encourage all parents/guardians of Old Orchard Beach High School students and incoming students to participate.

Travel Abroad Opportunity!
This year, a group of students spent their April Break in Costa Rica. Next year, we are going to Italy!! To learn more about this exciting travel experience, and determine if the trip is a good fit for your student, join Ms. Jaffe in the high school library on Wednesday May 29th at 6:30pm for an informational meeting. We will go over all the trip details, and enrollment information will be provided.
This travel experience is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and open to all students who will be at the high school next year. Don’t miss out on the chance to give your student an incredible, life changing experience. Email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
Students must complete 20 hours of community service as a graduation requirement. Please contact the guidance office for community service opportunities. We have plenty for the kids to do!

Powerschool will be shut down as of June 14th for the summer.
RSU 23 Summer Meal Program
RSU23 is excited to announce we will be offering free breakfast and lunches to children all summer long! Free breakfast will be provided Monday-Friday at Loranger Memorial School from 7:45-8:45am. Free lunch will be served Monday-Friday at Loranger Memorial School from 11:30am-12:00pm and also at Libby Library Tuesday-Friday from 11:30am-12:00pm.
The Summer Meals program will run from June 24-August 16 and is free to any child 18 and under. (Please note we will be closed July 4 & 5). We would love for you to follow our Facebook page- RSU 23 Food & Nutrition Services- for menus and more information!
