What I do

During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, volunteering, attending live performances, reading, dining out, traveling domestically and internationally, hosting exchange students, cooking and walking near the ocean.

Mrs. Nash has been teaching Culinary Arts at Old Orchard Beach High School since 2008. When in the classroom Mrs. Nash enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for the importance of knowing how to prepare a variety of healthy foods as well as some international dishes. Mrs. Nash is passionate about helping students develop culinary skills they can use to prepare food for themselves in a fun, safe learning environment but also to potentially transfer those skills to the world of work.

Mrs. Nash graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a B.S. in Home Economics Education and then received a M.S. from Wheelock College in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Nash has taught in several Maine schools where she taught Home Economics, Health and Culinary Arts. She also worked as a Home Economist, Total Quality Facilitator, and Trainer for Central Maine Power Company. For several years she worked as a consultant leading workshops at private organizations on Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Total Quality Management, Facilitation Skills, Presentation Skills and Team Building.
