Beth Nason

What I do

With two active daughters, a husband who travels for his career in sports television, and a house in the woods, Beth is usually in her car driving from activity to event to experience.  As a family, they try to travel to one new destination at least once a year, as well as, a week in the summer at her family cottage on Lake Ontario. Beth enjoys cooking, music, reading and binging on Netflix.

Beth has been a member of the Old Orchard Beach educational community since 2004 when she started as the Guidance Counselor at Loranger Middle School. After ten years working with the amazing staff and students there, she made the move to become the Guidance Director at the High School. After almost 4 years in this role, she has enjoyed working with students in this new capacity. The opportunity to witness students discover and create the beginning of their futures is a privilege and a joy.

Growing up in Central New York, Beth found her way to Maine via time spent in Maryland, North Carolina, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. She finally found her way to Graduate School to become a Guidance Counselor after a trip cross country and jobs working in group homes with at-risk kids. After marrying, she and her husband started their family while building their home in a post and beam barn in Southern Maine. They live there still with their two daughters, two dogs and cat.
