What I do

Carolyn is an outdoor enthusiast.  She enjoys exploring the seashore, walking her dog, creating a pollinator-friendly garden, feeding and watching birds, and photographing just about anything that will hold still.  Her favorite places are Sebago Lake, Ft. Williams, and Baxter State Park, which she likes to share with her husband.

Other interests include sports, music, get-togethers with friends, movies, anything related to the Wizard of Oz, fine dining, and all things purple.

Carolyn (a.k.a. “Ms. M”) has been an ed. tech. at OOBHS for more than 20 years. Although her background is in health and fitness, she has been helping students in various classes, including sciences, social studies, English, Spanish, and Culinary Arts. Over the years, she has been the head coach of 3 varsity sports: field hockey, indoor track, and outdoor track. She “retired” from field hockey in 2013 and track in 2018.

Coach M grew up in the Katahdin Region, where she was involved in sports and music throughout high school.  With nature practically at her doorstep, she enjoyed many outdoor activities, including fishing (fly, spincast, and ice), skiing, and skating.

Carolyn attended the University of Maine, earning a B.S. in education, majoring in physical education, with a concentration in health.
