Dawn Poisson

Mrs. Poisson began teaching at Old Orchard Beach High School in the fall of 1986. She is currently the Chairperson of the Mathematics Department. Her current courses include CP Geometry, Honors Geometry, Honors Algebra II, Honors PreCalculus, and College Algebra. College Algebra is a concurrent enrollment course where eligible students earn both high school and college credit through Southern Maine Community College.

Mrs. Poisson graduated from Hillsboro-Deering Cooperative High School in Hillsboro, NH.   She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Plymouth State University and her Masters of Science degree from Southern New Hampshire University.  She has continued earning credits from courses in the fields of technology and mathematics throughout her teaching career.

Prior to teaching in Old Orchard Beach, she taught at Gilford Middle/High School in Gilford, New Hampshire and at Cogswell Memorial High School, in Henniker (the only one on Earth), New Hampshire.
