What I do

Outside of teaching, I like to doing anything in the outdoors including hiking, going to the beach, and exploring all the nature Maine has to offer. I also enjoy biking and attending workout classes at my local gym. During the summer, I serve as a seasonal Park Ranger in South Portland where I has the opportunity to interact with my community, collect data on various species, and spend time in my city parks. I also enjoy traveling back to Massachusetts to visit friends and family when I get the chance.

I have been teaching at Old Orchard Beach High School since the 2021-2022 school year. I am originally from Greenfield, Massachusetts where I attended Greenfield High School and fell in love with learning about the natural world and the inner workings of the human body. I went on to pursue my passions at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where I received both my B.S. in Nutritional Sciences in 2017 and her Masters in Secondary Education in 2019.

Before teaching at OOBHS, I taught middle school science in Southwick-Tolland-Granville Regional School District in western Massachusetts. After two years, I took the plunge and applied to teach in Maine, without knowing much about the area other than parts where I had vacationed with family. I love being here and believes it is one of the best life choices I have made.
