What I do
I love to be outdoors and on the water, looking for new fishing spots or places to go for a swim. I also love to watch and play sports, basketball being a favorite. I do my best golfing, but has accepted that I am a life-long learner in that area. I love being back in Maine, and look forward to finding fun activities to do year round!
I began teaching at OOBHS in the fall of 2022, offering a variety of math courses before stepping into the role of Dean of Students in 2025. In addition, I serve as the Head Coach for OOBHS Varsity Track and Field, a position that allows me to connect with students both in the classroom and on the track.
A native of the Bangor area, I graduated from John Bapst Memorial High School before beginning my college career at the University of New England. I later transferred to the University of Maine at Orono, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and a Master of Arts in Secondary Mathematics and Life Science. Most recently, I completed a Certificate of Graduate Studies (Assistant Principal) through the University of Southern Maine.
My teaching career spans more than 12 years across two states. I began at Southern Aroostook Community School in Dyer Brook, Maine, where I taught high school math and science for three years, served on academic committees, and volunteered as an assistant girls’ basketball coach at both the middle and varsity levels. Looking for new opportunities, I moved to Jacksonville, Florida, where I taught middle school math and science for six years. During that time, I supported the school’s accreditation process, launched a STEAM program for grades 4–8, and advised several student clubs and activities.
