What I do

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time outdoors—especially during the autumn months and football season—and riding my mountain bike along the Eastern Trail. I also have a passion for cooking and creating new meals, as well as listening to and attending a wide variety of musical performances.

I live locally with my wife of 31 years, and we are proud parents to our 21-year-old daughter, who is currently a senior in college pursuing a degree in Occupational Therapy.

I am excited to join Old Orchard Beach High School for the 2025–2026 school year. While I am new to OOBHS, I bring over 21 years of experience in Special Education. I graduated from Cony High School in Augusta and earned my Bachelor’s degree from the University of New England in 1990.

My career began at Sweetser Children’s Services, where I worked for 4.5 years, followed by 8.5 years at Youth Alternatives, Inc. (now known as Opportunity Alliance). In 2008, I earned my teaching certification and began teaching Special Education at Sanford High School, where I spent the past 21 years—17 of those as Department Chair.

I am now eager to begin this next chapter in a smaller, more connected school community—one that I am proud to call home. I look forward to working with students, families, and colleagues to create a positive and supportive learning environment for all.
