What I do

Outside of work, I enjoy hiking (though I’m easily distracted by an interesting rock, plant, or bug), biking, being in/on/near the water, exploring new-to-me places, and spending time with family and friends. I love taking macro photographs of nature and hope to improve my skills someday. I have spent many years helping children and their adults get outside to notice and connect with nature and a highlight for me was receiving Richard Louv’s Vitamin N recognition award for that work.

I grew up in Portland and recently moved to OOB and am thrilled to have joined RSU23’s amazing team! I attended USM and UNE and prior to joining RSU23, I worked as a children’s case manager. Before that, I worked in early intervention, both as a lead teacher in a special purpose program and as an independent contractor. I also spent 12 years homeschooling my own children.
