What I do

In my classroom, I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to explore new ideas and voices. When I’m not teaching, you can usually find me reading, volunteering, spending time with my family, or enjoying the natural beauty of New England.

I have lived in Maine for most of my life and am thrilled to be teaching ESOL and ELA here in Old Orchard Beach. My teaching journey began in 2014  at Lewiston High School, after graduating from USM with a B.A. in Arts and Humanities, where I spent eight years that were deeply informative and fundamentally shaped my growth as an educator and solidified my commitment to lifelong learning. This experience inspired me to return to school, where I earned my Master’s in Science Education in Literacy in 2024. During that time, I also spent three impactful years teaching 8th grade at King Middle School. While middle school was a rewarding experience, I’ve felt a strong calling to return to my roots in high school education, which led me to my current position.
