Hi Everyone!

We had a great week here at OOBHS. Students and staff are looking forward to our traditional fall events and the beautiful foliage that arrives with autumn in Maine. Please don’t hesitate to contact our faculty with questions about your child’s academic progress. Contact information for each teacher is posted on our school website under “Faculty and Staff”. Here we go with this week’s announcements:

ChromeBook Deployment

Chromebooks are currently being distributed. Students will be able to  pick-up their Chromebooks only if they have (1) returned a signed Device Use Policy Form, (2) returned a signed Family Commitment Letter , (3) paid the $50 participation fee ($25 for reduced lunch students, $10 for free lunch students), and (4) all outstanding invoices must be paid if full. You may pay via the Paypal link on our website or please make checks payable to RSU #23.

Once deployed, school issued ChromeBooks will be the primary technology tool for learning and students will be expected to use them while at school. Beginning next week, students will not be able to use their own devices during the school day.

Contact Information

If you have not done so already, please update your contact information and personal information in Powerschool on the form that was sent home and have your child return the form or contact us. We want to make sure we have the correct information in our database. Thank you!

From The OOBHS Boosters

OOBHS Boosters’ now have a volunteer sign up website. https://www.volunteersignup.org/ETBX4

Boosters are in need of volunteers for the Car Show. This is a great way to get community service hours for students. The car show is Saturday, September 15th. We start set up at 7:30am and are done by 3pm. We also have home games September 7th, 21st, October 6th is homecoming and October 19th, that we will need help in the concession stand. Please go to the website or email oobhsboosters@gmail.com to sign up and help. Students can also get community service hours toward graduation by helping with concessions.

Family Vacation Forms

During the school year some families take vacations and ask that we excuse their children from school days. This is not a problem, however we do have forms for the student, parents, teachers and administration to sign off on in order to help students understand the expectations of making up missed work. The forms can be found in the main office. Thanks for your help!

Reminder we have early release next Wednesday September 12th!

Please check our website for the schedule. School will start at the regular time and students will be dismissed at noon.

All freshmen will be required to use their school-issued agenda books. We thank you for your support!
