What I do

I am an active musician in Southern Maine playing bass and trumpet in various groups and ensembles. I have connections to organizations such as the Maine Academy of Modern Music, Midcoast School of Music, and am actively involved at my alma mater USM’s own Dr. Alfred & D. Suzi Osher School of music. I enjoy woodworking, mountain biking, table top games, and most importantly spending time with my wife Mackenzie and two sons Maxwell and Jamie.

I hold an Associates degree in Liberal studies from Southern Maine Community Colleges and a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from the University of Southern Maine. I am currently nearing completion of my Masters in Music education.

Before teaching at OOBHS in 2021, I taught at the Maine Coast Waldorf School in Freeport where I taught band, chorus and cello. I also was at Skillin Elementary in South Portland teaching K-5 general music. I began teaching in 2011 and I have maintained an active private music studio offering individual and small group lessons.
