What I do
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I have two daughters and a golden retriever. We love to spend time near the water, whether that’s on the beach or at the lake. I enjoy being an active member of the community, volunteering and supporting various activities and cheering on my kids and the OOB sports teams.
I worked in the High School for the last 5 months of the 2024-2025 school year as a part-time Health Aide. This year, I am happy to return to the same position as a full-time member of the Health Team and look forward to providing dependable and compassionate support to students so that they may stay healthy and ready to learn. While being a Health Aide is a new position for me, I have spent close to 20 years working and volunteering in public education.
I grew up in central Maine and graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a Master’s Degree in Special Education. I was part of U.S.M.’s E.T.E.P. program and their first cohort to earn a K-8 Special Education teaching certification, as well as a K-8 General Education teaching certification, in 3 years. Following graduation, I taught 4th grade in Dayton until my first daughter was born and then decided to stay home to raise my family .
I have lived in Old Orchard Beach for 22 years and have been volunteering and substituting in various positions for over 12 years in RSU 23. I have been fortunate to work with such caring and dedicated staff in all three schools in the district. My family and I are grateful to be part of such a supportive community.
