What I do
While I am not teaching (or fearing for my life from the swarms of seagulls), I enjoy cooking, treating myself to a little shopping spree or beauty treatment, and spending time in the sun. If you need me outside of school, you can find me making a mess in the kitchen but cooking up some delicious meals, getting my nails done, lounging on a beach chair, or as most English teachers do…reading in a quiet corner somewhere.
I started teaching at Old Orchard Beach High School in 2017, which was my second year living in Maine full time. I am from New York City and growing up I had the pleasure of spending every summer up in Maine, either at Higgins Beach or in Fayette, at Camp Vega. I got myself used to the cold weather after graduating from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education in 2014. I then attended the University of Missouri for my Master’s Degree in Education, where I graduated in 2016. While I enjoyed my two years in St. Louis, Missouri, there’s nothing that can beat waking up to the smell of the ocean.
