Mary Makee

I began at Old Orchard Beach High School in 2023. I have been teaching Culinary Arts since 2018. When in the Culinary Arts classroom, I enjoy teaching students to prepare and cook a variety of foods. I am passionate about helping students learn and develop culinary skills that will enhance their ability to prepare healthy meals at home, as well as provide workplace readiness training. 

I graduated from the University of Colorado with a BA in Geography and Environmental studies. Prior to moving to Maine in 2021, I taught Culinary Arts, Nutrition and Wellness, Independent Living, and Workplace Readiness in Woodbridge, Virginia. I have worked in various restaurants as a station chef, prep chef, and pastry chef. I am a certified ServSafe Instructor and Proctor.
