What I do
I have been married to my husband Tom for over years and have two grown children, Matt and Nicole. I am the proud grandma of Kida. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading and traveling.
I began working in RSU 23 in October 2010 as a speech therapist at Old Orchard Beach High School, Saco Middle School, and Thornton Academy. During this time, I was drawn to “teach at the beach”. In September of 2011, I fulfilled my dream of becoming a special education teacher in Room 106. Since then, my days have been filled with teaching life skills, academics and learning strategies to high school students.
I grew up in Windsor, Vermont. I vacationed in Maine all my life. I attended the University of Maine at Farmington and earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Correction in 1990. I worked in MSAD #60 (North Berwick, Berwick, and Lebanon) for eleven years as a speech therapist. In 2001, she transitioned to the Co-Director of Special Education. I attended the University of Southern Maine and earned my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership in 2005. In 2007, I left education to serve as the Vice President of Educational Integration with MSB Services LLC, an educational software company. I returned to education with RSU#23 in 2010.
